    JESUS CHRIST AND JOAN RIVERS

(San Diego, CA)—Can we talk? I am not suggesting that Joan Rivers was a Christian. But who knows? What we do know is that Joan professed to be Jewish by race and religion, and that she celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. (Photo via flickr.com)
Miss Rivers was known to have said, "Everyone reaches God in any way they want to reach God," on her reality show, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? She also said, "And let's not forget, Jesus was Jewish... which made sense because He really loved his mother," as reported by Antonia Blumberg in the Huffington Post.

Coalition of Christian Leaders Sends Letter to Pentagon In Support of Gideon Bibles in Navy Lodges

A coalition of Christian leaders sent a letter this week to the Pentagon in support of allowing Gideon Bibles to remain in Navy lodges despite a complaint from a prominent atheist organization.
As previously reported, in March of this year, the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) sent a letter to the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) advising that two unidentified service members contacted them to report that “every Navy lodging room they have stayed in during decades of service contained a Bible” but rarely other religious or non-religious books. The organization asserted that such practice is unconstitutional and shows favoritism toward Christianity.

Contrary to Reports, Christians Are NOT Just as Likely to Divorce as Nonbelievers

A researcher claims most marriages are happy, and only about 20-25 percent of first-time marriages end in divorce. (Ben Earwicker)

This is a game-changer. Talk about “an old wives’ tale.” You’ve heard it said that 1) 50 percent of all marriages end in divorce, 2) most marriages that do happen to make it are, nonetheless, unhappy, and 3) Christians are just as likely to divorce as nonbelievers.

5 Things Americans Can Do to Help Persecuted Christians in Iraq

"What Americans can do today is write to their representatives and tell them the U.S. government needs to take more aggressive action toward the Islamic State, because this group is not only a threat to Iraq, it's a threat to America, eventually. And we need to deal with them now, before it's too late," Dawood told The Christian Post.
